About Evangelische Stadtmission Freiburg e.V.

Life. Faith. Action. In and around Freiburg. Since its founding in 1882, the city mission's work has been guided by social hotspots and the needs of people in our city. Since the early 1990s, new fields of activity and facilities have been added, also beyond the city limits of Freiburg - in Breisach, Bad Krozingen, Lörrach, Bötzingen and St. Peter. The city mission operates various facilities and services for the elderly and those in need of care, an addiction counseling center, a residential home for people with addiction, a woodworking shop, a service provider for clearances, the train station mission and the ALPHA bookstore, as well as the ALLA FONTE hotel and conference center in Bad Krozingen. It also includes the “S’Einlädele” and the evangelical dreisam3 community. The profile community is affiliated with the Baden State Church and anchored in the Freiburg church district. The diversity of tasks shows what defines the identity of the city mission's work: faith and love, proclamation of the Gospel and social work belong together. With this holistic approach, the city mission wants to continue to be there for people who need its help in the future.
