About Eurofins Food Spain

Eurofins is a company founded in Nantes in 1987, following the development of SNIF-NMR technology in collaboration with the University of Nantes in France. This patented method represented a major advance in the detection of food fraud in wine and its application was subsequently extended to other foods. Currently, more than 50,000 employees work in the Eurofins Group, distributed in 50 countries in over 800 laboratories. We have an offering of more than 200,000 analytical methods, within the areas of food safety, composition, authenticity, origin and purity of food products, as well as the areas of environment, pharma and clinical diagnostics. The first production center, within the Food division, in Spain, dates back to 2014 and in 2022 there are already more than 12 laboratories distributed throughout the peninsula and the islands; having already become the largest network of agri-food laboratories operating in the country. In the medium term, the strategy is to continue growing in the Spanish market, with the clear objective of consolidating our leadership.
