Ernsting's family is one of the most significant omni-channel providers in Western European textile retail, with around 1,925 stores in Germany, Austria, and the Netherlands, a multi-award-winning online presence, and approximately 12,510 employees. Kurt Ernsting laid the foundation for Ernsting's family's success back in 1967 with the opening of the first "minipreis" store in the laundry room of his parents' house. In 1968, due to its great success, he founded "Minipreis Ernsting Handels-GmbH" and began building a chain of stores. Since then, our customers have been delighted with an attractive price-performance ratio in the areas of clothing, lingerie, accessories, and home&living ranges for the whole family. The idea of family is also particularly reflected in our corporate culture: here, we laugh and discuss together – always with mutual respect. We continuously pursue the development of new sales channels and locations with social, societal, and ecological responsibility. Every year we open more stores in Germany and Austria.
