Enaex is a subsidiary of the Sigdo Koppers group with over 100 years of experience in the explosives market. The company is the third largest producer of low density ammonium nitrate globally and the leading provider of integral rock fragmentation services for the mining industry in Chile and Latin America. Enaex operates Prillex America, the world's largest ammonium nitrate production complex with a capacity of 850 thousand tons per year. To meet customer needs, Enaex has an extensive network of service plants in key mining locations across Chile. The company is also experiencing continuous growth in Peru, Argentina, Brazil, and Colombia, offering rock fragmentation and blasting services with a network of service plants in their respective mining sites. Enaex expanded its presence in Brazil in 2015 by acquiring Britanite, the largest Brazilian civil explosives manufacturing and commercialization company. In June 2015, Enaex acquired Davey Bickford, a global leader in electronic detonators and initiation systems, headquartered in France with subsidiaries in Australia, Canada, Chile, the United States, Mexico, and Peru. In 2020, Sasol Explosives became Enaex Africa through a joint venture. In 2021, Enaex strengthened its Australian presence by acquiring Downer Blasting Services. These developments support the company's international growth plan to expand its global presence and enhance its capabilities with innovative, state-of-the-art technological solutions.
