The company's history began to be forged with D. Emiliano Arencibia Rivero, a port stevedore who combined that profession, in the late fifties, with a small stall in the Central Market of the capital of Gran Canaria. However, it was not until 1963, coinciding with the start of his coffee roasting and commercialization activity, that Emicela began to be used as a commercial brand, which comes from the union of the first letters of his name with the nickname by which his wife, Araceli, is known. Since that moment and until the present day, many have been the challenges our company has faced. But business instinct, a nose for good opportunities, a clear vision of expansion, diversification and internationalization, and the drive of a workforce that has grown every year, combined with the trust placed by our clients over generations, have made Emicela a benchmark multinational industrial and distribution company in constant growth.
