About Elo Apoio Social e Ambiental

Since 2001, Elo has been working in Curitiba and the metropolitan region, focusing on the training and employability of adolescents and young people in social vulnerability, through the Apprenticeship Law, in partnership with 145 companies. Its objectives are to: Develop entrepreneurial skills for life and work with socio-environmental responsibility and solidarity. Generate positive impact and stimulate social transformation, with shared values between companies and young people. In this regard, this work is highly relevant for the development of employability and entrepreneurship skills for young people in social vulnerability and contributes to the achievement of SDGs 1, 4 and 8, 10, 16 and 17. In 2018, the results were: Employment for 943 young people 6,889 hours of training, with emphasis on 12 SDGs through continuous awareness-raising actions. Creation of 74 company projects by apprentices and highlight of 8 entrepreneurs and success stories of former apprentices in the Elo 2018 calendar. In addition, Elo created the Planting Hope Project, which since 2008 has been working to strengthen skills, self-esteem, provide opportunities and learning for young people to be protagonists. In Planting Hope, the focus is not on "getting a job for adolescents"​, but on creating real opportunities for personal development. The methodology includes awareness-raising exercises and dynamics and practical activities based on the 4 pillars of education: Learning to know, Learning to do, Learning to live together and Learning to be.
