Ecomaison

About Ecomaison

Created in 2011 by 24 French furniture distributors and manufacturers, we are the non-profit, government-approved eco-organization responsible for managing the collection, sorting, reuse, and recycling of household materials and objects: construction products and materials, furniture and bedding, DIY and garden items, and toys. We support companies in their obligations by offering a complete range of services for businesses placing their products on the French market. Thanks to our approvals for several families of household materials and objects, they benefit from a unique, simple, and integrated interface to manage all their regulatory obligations regarding recycling, take-back, reuse, innovation, and more. We provide local collection solutions by offering professionals and individuals a network of over 12,000 collection points across France for donation, reuse, and recycling: associations and social economy players, distributors, partner collection points, and public waste disposal centers. All these solutions are made possible by the eco-contribution, a fee applied when purchasing a new product. The sums paid finance reuse, collection, recycling, innovation, incentives for eco-design, and public information. Our commitment is to add value to recycled materials, to process and keep them in France, and to develop industry, employment, and recycling within the national territory. We are the leading French supplier of recycled wood, with 800,000 tons recycled annually, made available to manufacturers for their production. Our ambition: to reach ZERO waste!
