About E.ON CZ

The E.ON Czech energy group has been part of the E.ON concern since 2004. Three years later, a gas company was also included in the group, making the group a leading integrated energy company in the Czech Republic. The group is working to strengthen its portfolio of sources with the aim of increasing current own production, focusing on renewable energy sources. It is one of the largest foreign investors in the energy sector in terms of electricity supply, and it is also well-established in the Czech gas market. It supplies 1.2 million customers with electricity in South Bohemia and South Moravia, and its market share is almost 20%. In gas supply, its market share in the Czech Republic is approximately 8%. The structure of the E.ON Czech energy group corresponds to the development of European and Czech legislation, and thanks to this, it meets the requirements for the separation of all regulated activities between the operation of the distribution network and the liberalized trade and sale of electricity and production. It invests more than CZK 3 billion annually in the renovation and development of the distribution network. Sustainable development, efficiency, and responsible management of natural resources are the three principles by which the group operates. Therefore, it offers solutions in these areas. These include, for example, projects focused on the development of new technological procedures, such as Smart Metering intelligent systems, electromobility, support for vehicles running on compressed natural gas (CNG) and the associated development of infrastructure for charging electric vehicles and CNG filling stations. And last but not least, the initiative and organization of the E.ON Energy Globe Award ČR competition.
