About DRK Landesverband Nordrhein e.V.

The German Red Cross saves lives, helps in emergencies, offers community to people, supports the poor and needy, and upholds international humanitarian law – in Germany and around the world. As a welfare organization, aid organization, and youth organization, the DRK performs many socially necessary tasks. The DRK State Association North Rhine e.V., headquartered in Düsseldorf, is active as part of this welfare and aid community in the administrative districts of Düsseldorf and Cologne. We include 29 legally independent district associations, which we support and strengthen in their work. More than 1,400 employees of our state association and its subsidiaries are active, for example, in youth, welfare, and social work, disaster control, initial, further, and continuing education, as well as in stationary care centers, outpatient services, daycare centers, and spa facilities, and refugee aid. The DRK Air Service, the volunteer services department, and numerous cross-sectional departments such as HR, controlling, or IT also belong to our organization. We save lives, ensure that people can look forward to tomorrow, make children laugh, or support this diverse work in internal departments – every day. For each of us, working at the DRK State Association North Rhine e.V. is more than a job; it is our calling. The Red Cross, as the world's largest aid organization, is an employer with heart and mind.
