About Driestar Educatief

What are we about? Good education and good care. That is our ideal. We train and inspire students, teachers, and leaders of schools in the Netherlands and beyond. We also focus on educators at home and in (care) institutions. Our training and formation take place partly in the programs of our university of applied sciences, but also with services and products from Driestar education consultancy. We believe that good education is founded on the Bible, bound by the Reformed confessions, and rooted in the Christian tradition. As far as we are concerned, this is mainly about the educator themselves: the Christian teacher and the believing parent who guides children. It is also about us as employees of Driestar Educatief: we try to do our work in connection with the Lord. Our employees are Christians and active members of a church community where the Bible is central. We ask our employees to agree with the foundation of Driestar Educatief. We believe that the Bible is the Word of God and want to let it guide us in our actions. We feel connected to the three Reformed confessions (Heidelberg Catechism, Netherlands Confession of Faith, and Canons of Dort) and the reformational tradition. Core Values From this foundation, Driestar Educatief has made a translation into core values that shape and give form to our Christian identity: dedication, reliability, wisdom, compassion, and courage. The core values are elaborated in the strategic policy plan of Driestar Educatief. Professional Culture Driestar Educatief strives for a professional culture. By this we mean that we work together to achieve our ambition, but also that we are personally responsible for our contribution to the organization. Every employee is accountable for their personal leadership: they are personally responsible for the quality of their work and for their personal development. As colleagues, we try to make the optimal use of each other's qualities and work together towards results. Working Conditions and Flexibility Driestar Educatief actively pursues policy on working conditions and reintegration and absenteeism. We view part-time work positively. Flexible working hours allow for a good work-life balance.
