About Dinges Fire Company

Dinges Fire Company, formerly E & B Fire and Safety, Inc., was founded in 2001 by Jeff Bryant, Sr., Lonny Eisenberg, Lane Eisenberg, and Shauna Dinges. Jeff and Lonny, both firefighters, aimed to serve local fire departments in northern Illinois. Six months later, Nick Dinges and Bill Shaw joined. The business started in a house on Route 52 in Amboy, moving to a small office in town within a year. E & B's sales grew with its expanding territory in Illinois, leading it to do business as the Illinois Fire Store. IFS remodeled and moved its headquarters to the old Dickinson’s Hardware Store at 243 E. Main Street in downtown Amboy, which now serves as Dinges Fire Company's Global Headquarters. In 2011, Nick Dinges purchased Illinois Fire Store after a decade as a partner, restructuring the organization for growth. In 2017, Dinges Fire Company acquired Time Emergency Equipment in Michigan and Safety First in Wisconsin, expanding its reach to four Midwest states and doubling its team to nearly 30 members. That same year, the company began developing product lines such as LeatherheadMetals.com and VanguardSafetyWear.com. Over the past 12 months, Dinges Fire Company has become a leader in fire equipment distribution in the Midwest, driven by record sales and partnerships with top industry brands including Lion Protective Clothing, Bullard, Drager, Amkus Rescue Systems, Task Force Tips, Bulldog Fire Hose, and over 200 other fire service brands. Today, Dinges Fire Company employs 75 team members across seven states: Illinois, Michigan, Wisconsin, Iowa, Indiana, Missouri, and Minnesota.
