About Deutscher Ruderverband e.V.

The German Rowing Association e.V. (DRV) is one of the most successful top associations in German sport, with over 85,000 members in 480 member clubs. The disciplines of rowing include touring rowing and popular sports, as well as racing rowing with its various boat classes from single sculls to eights. Rowing is a healthy sport that can be learned and practiced well into old age and is possible year-round. In addition to performance sports, touring rowing and popular sports are important pillars of our sport and form the backbone of the clubs. After all, the majority of members are involved in this segment. This is not surprising, as rowing is one of the few sports that can be practiced throughout life. Each athlete can participate within their own performance capabilities and thus find physical balance.
