About Design West Technologies

Founded in 1994, DWT is a nontraditional defense contractor with the expertise and technical capabilities to design new systems or develop and implement enhancements to existing products through comprehensive testing and analysis. Vertically integrated from R&D to final assembly and testing, we offer a unique combination of electrical, chemical, and mechanical product development for weapons and CBRN systems with CNC machining, injection molding, robotic welding, assembly, design, testing, and engineering capabilities. DWT is located in Southern California near John Wayne Airport (SNA), with over 60,000 sq. ft. of manufacturing space, and is certified in accordance with AS9100D/ISO 9001-2015 and ITAR. Vertically integrated from R&D to final assembly and testing, DWT offers a unique combination of electrical/electronic, chemical, and mechanical product development for vertical launch, sensing, and collective protection systems with AI-enhanced firmware/software development, structural, flow, and sensor simulations. Design and development are supported by in-house manufacturing and test capabilities ranging from machining, injection molding, robotic welding, and electromechanical assembly to extensive environmental and analytical lab testing.
