Home of the Utah Jazz, Utah Mammoth & Utah's premier concert & entertainment venue. Completed in October 1991, Delta Center is the largest facility of its kind within a five-state radius. The building seats nearly 20,000 and at the time of its construction, it was built faster than any other arena in the world−15 months and 24 days at a cost of $66 million. The footprint is 3.79 acres. 100,000 cubic yards of concrete. 80,300 square feet of glass. 500,000 concrete blocks. 21,000 square yards of carpet. 3 million pounds of structural steel. 7.6 million pounds of rebar. A tornado hit the building on August 11, 1999, blowing out more than 700 windows.
