De Plantenhal B.V.

About De Plantenhal B.V.

De Plantenhal B.V. is a family business. In 1982, the parents of the current management started selling houseplants, garden plants, vegetables, and fruit from their garage in Rhoon under the name De Plantenhal. By 1985, it had grown so much that the garage was no longer large enough. De Plantenhal then moved to a large warehouse. When a vegetable shed in Zuidland came up for sale in 1986, the time was ripe for expansion, and thus the second Plantenhal became a reality. In 1997, Peters Tuincentrum in Ridderkerk was acquired. And so, the third Plantenhal came into existence. Over time, the three sons who now form the management also started working in the business. Because De Plantenhal has always been committed to selling good products at low prices, all businesses grew steadily. A sales greenhouse was built onto the warehouse in Rhoon. The shed in Zuidland was also replaced with a sales greenhouse. And the store in Ridderkerk was replaced with a completely new sales greenhouse. De Plantenhal has also been located in Terneuzen since 2010. In early 2011, a major expansion and renovation began in Zuidland. Once completed, the retail space will have doubled.
