About Coritiba SAF

For 115 years, Coritiba has a rich history, numerous achievements, and a legion of fans. The future is now a reality. Coritiba SAF is taking a step forward in its history to establish itself as one of the leading football powerhouses in Brazil. Founded on October 12, 1909, by a group of young German immigrants, Coritiba SAF is the oldest and most representative football team in the state of Paraná, honored for its history, tradition, and titles. Popularly known as "Coxa," it was the first team in Paraná to win the Brazilian Championship title in 1985. Currently, it holds the record for the most titles in Paraná with 39 championships, the last one won in 2022. The club was a six-time champion between 1971 and 1976 and then a four-time champion between 2010 and 2013. Furthermore, Coritiba held the South American record for the most consecutive victories with 24 wins in 2011, earning a place in the Guinness Book as "the most victorious team in the world." The club's youth categories are recognized as among the best in the country due to their titles and ability to develop players. Coxa's youth academy today contributes to the formation of high-performance athletes who strengthen the professional squad, the Brazilian national team, and other clubs both domestically and internationally. The "Piás do Couto," as Coritiba's youth players are known, won the unprecedented Under-20 Copa do Brasil title for the club in 2021. Currently, Coritiba competes in Série A of the Brazilian Championship and has over 35,000 active member fans. The new era for Coritiba began in October 2023, when Treecorp Investimentos acquired 90% of the club's SAF. Headquartered in São Paulo, the company manages over R$2 billion in investments and has close relationships with entrepreneurs. Today, Coritiba is a Football Corporation.
