The Council is one of the most important non-governmental organizations and is considered a leader and model in its field both domestically and internationally. It is a non-state public law entity, independent of the branches of government, currently bringing together more than 70,000 registered professionals. Pursuant to national legislation and the law of the Legislature of the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires, it regulates and orders the practice of Economic Sciences professions, authorizing the registrations of Public Accountants, Administrators, Economists, and Actuaries in our jurisdiction. Along with the primary mission of registration, the Council oversees compliance with the ethical principles governing the professional practice of Economic Sciences. The first regulations that led to its operation were issued in 1945. Currently, each province has a Council, which, like ours, maintains full operational independence.
