Conditorei Coppenrath & Wiese is Europe's largest manufacturer of frozen baked goods. Since 1975, we have combined traditional confectionery craftsmanship with innovative manufacturing processes. With around 3,000 employees, we produce our cakes, pastries, and rolls exclusively in Germany at our production site in Mettingen. Additionally, we have a unique logistics center in Osnabrück, our wholly-owned subsidiary Overnight Tiefkühl-Service GmbH. Our constant endeavor is to be the best alternative to baking yourself. Two out of every three frozen baked goods purchased in Germany come from our state-of-the-art production, where more than 250,000 cream cakes are produced every day. Since 2015, our confectionery has been part of the successful Oetker Group's food division and also supplies international customers in Europe, the USA, and Australia. The foundation for our success was laid by the company founders Aloys Coppenrath (merchant) and Josef Wiese (confectioner) in the mid-1970s. The two cousins developed a unique process for continuously whipping cream. What began as a small family business in a converted dairy in those days has developed into a major player in the frozen food scene over the following decades. In line with our high quality standards, we still do not use preservatives in production, but solely cold for preservation. We are also particularly proud of our high proportion of in-house production in our confectionery: from sponge or shortcrust pastry to fruit or cream mixtures, we prepare everything ourselves!
