Welcome to the official page of the Communauté de communes du Genevois. The territory of the Communauté de communes du Genevois (CCG) is located in the north of the Haute-Savoie department, between the Alps and Jura mountain ranges. It has 45,000 inhabitants as of 2017 and includes 17 municipalities: Archamps, Beaumont, Bossey, Chênex, Chevrier, Collonges-sous-Salève, Dingy-en-Vuache, Feigères, Jonzier-Epagny, Neydens, Présilly, Saint-Julien-en-Genevois, Savigny, Valleiry, Vers, Viry, and Vulbens. One of its particularities is bordering the Canton of Geneva, in Switzerland, and its dynamic employment area. This geographical proximity attracts a large number of young professionals to the CCG territory, which is experiencing the strongest demographic growth in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes. This influx strongly impacts: the needs of citizens (transportation, housing, daycare, schools, etc.), the local cost of living and real estate, and the balance between urban, natural, and agricultural spaces. To develop the territory sustainably and provide a place for everyone, the CCG has progressively strengthened its means of action. It also works within the framework of Franco-Swiss cooperation for the balanced development of the Greater Geneva agglomeration.
