Castor began in Vila Musa, in 1962, in the city of Ourinhos, when Dr. Hélio Silva, following in his father's footsteps, founded Colchões Hélio Silva, a craft factory that used grass cut from the margins of the Raposo Tavares highway to produce mattresses. In 1983, the factory moved to the Industrial District of Ourinhos. There it expanded physically and fulfilled its vocation for permanent modernization and constant improvement of its technology. Currently, Castor is a benchmark of quality in its market due to constant technological advances and the permanent updating of its design, in addition to innovations in product lines that provide a healthier and more comfortable life for its customers. To serve the immense national territory, Castor has a factory in Ourinhos, in addition to other units in Passo Fundo in Rio Grande do Sul and Juiz de Fora in Minas Gerais, strategically located to enable product distribution logistics and satisfy market demand, which is met every day with the highest technology and unquestionable quality.
