Idealism and enthusiasm were some of the requirements that led, in 1965, medical students João Carlos Di Genio and Dráuzio Varella, and doctors Roger Patti and Tadasi Itto to found a small preparatory course for medical schools in the central region of the city of São Paulo. The success achieved in that year's exams by the students they prepared meant that, as early as 1966, Curso Objetivo was one of the largest in the city. The intention was always the development of a more comprehensive educational project; therefore, from the small preparatory course, Objetivo transformed into the largest educational institution in Brazil. In 1970, Colégio Objetivo was created, with a high school curriculum. In 1972, the Objetivo Faculties were implemented, the embryo of the future Paulista University – UNIP, currently the fastest-growing university in the country. In 1974, Colégio Objetivo Júnior was born, covering Early Childhood Education and Elementary School. In 1982, the Objetivo Research and Technology Center (CPT) was created, later named CPT – UNIP/Objetivo. CPT professors and researchers are responsible for the implementation of the most diverse educational activities.
