About Colégio Católica Curitiba

The institution was founded in 2003 as Faculdade Marista, in the Apipucos neighborhood of Recife, offering Administration and Advertising and Propaganda programs. In 2004, just one year after its inauguration, Law, Internet Systems, and HR Management programs were added to our curriculum. In 2015, the IES became part of the União Brasileira de Educação Católica (UBEC) group, headquartered in Brasília. It was then that we received a new name: Faculdade Imaculada Conceição do Recife (FICR). In 2018, we moved to a new location at Av. Caxangá, 3841, Iputinga – Recife, one of the busiest avenues in the Recife neighborhood. With more space, new programs were integrated: Systems Analysis and Development, Quality Management, Financial Management, Public Management, and Managerial Processes. In 2019, we also began offering programs in Nursing, Psychology, Pedagogy, and Physical Education. In addition to FICR, UBEC has Higher Education Institutions spread across Brazil, including: UCB (Brasília), Unileste (Eastern Minas Gerais), and Unicatólica (Tocantins). As the name Católica was adopted in all UBEC Mission Units, we became known as Faculdade Católica Imaculada Conceição do Recife - FICR. Despite so many changes, the Marista mission is still part of our journey. We offer quality education based on Christian principles, with a perspective of sustainable development and a humanized dimension, following the principles of Spirituality, Citizenship, Innovation, and Excellence. Today, we are the Best Private College in Recife, with a rating of 4 from the Ministry of Education (MEC). We have excellent performance in the General Course Index (ICG) and the National Student Performance Exam (ENADE). Furthermore, we are a philanthropic institution, where for every 5 paying students enrolled, we offer 1 full scholarship to those who want a quality education but cannot afford the costs.
