We are the CIBG, once started as a small-scale project (Central Information Point for Healthcare Professions) in 1995, and have now grown into a fully-fledged implementing organization for the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport. We are about 650 colleagues spread across The Hague and Heerlen who are committed every day to transparent and reliable information in healthcare. So that you know: who is who, who can do what, and who is allowed to do what. What we do: We register: BIG healthcare providers, veterinarians, choices of people about organ donation; We publish: annual accountability (annual report) of healthcare institutions; We test: top incomes in healthcare, new healthcare institutions; We determine: maximum prices of medicines; We produce (or have produced): medicinal cannabis; We recognize: tissue banks and blood banks, foreign diplomas for healthcare professions; We provide: access passes for healthcare providers for insight into digital patient data and secure e-mail traffic, permits for medicines, permits for donor testing laboratories, opium exemptions. We make an impact: We work for you. So that when your mother passes away, you don't have to think about her donation wishes, because we already know them. So that you know that your son receives help from a recognized professional, if he can't see it anymore. So that you are sure that your foreign dentist has the right papers, because you can check it with us. And the specific medicines for your husband are reliable and affordable, because we monitor the necessary data.
