China Harbour Engineering Company Ltd. (CHEC), a subsidiary of China Communications Construction Company Ltd. (CCCC), was established in the 1980s to explore overseas markets. With over 90 global branches and operations in more than 100 countries, CHEC has a workforce of 20,000 managing international projects worth over USD 40 billion. Its portfolio spans marine engineering, dredging, roads, railways, airports, and more. CHEC entered Malaysia in 1993, and in 2016, it established its South Pacific division in Kuala Lumpur, overseeing operations across Southeast Asia and the Pacific region.
