About CHATS

CHATS (Children’s Health and Therapy Services) is the next chapter of what many families and referrers have long known as Chatterbox Australia Therapy Services. For more than 20 years, we’ve grown from a single therapy service into a boutique, neuro-affirming children’s therapy and health centre supporting children, teens and young adults (approximately 6 months to 25 years). We’re proudly neuro-affirming, strengths-based and evidence-informed, with a practical focus on participation and real-life outcomes at home, early learning, school, work and in the community. We don’t take a one-size-fits-all approach. Families can access individual therapy, term-based groups, holiday programs and special events, with clear pathways for different ages and stages: Pathways for: Toddlers, Preschoolers, Primary Aged, Teens/Young Adults. Services: Groups & Events: Term and holiday groups are therapy-informed, structured and welcoming for neurodivergent kids—clear goals, predictable routines, real skill-building. We also run sensory-considered special events to practise skills in real-world settings. Flagship Programs: PREPARE (4–6y): evidence-based, therapy-led kinder-to-Prep transition program (SP/OT). Focus on the non-academic demands of school: communication, regulation, independence, social confidence and classroom participation. Life Ready (16–25y): independence and job/life readiness (community access, transport, daily living, planning). Playgroup Victoria: baby/toddler development groups—movement, sensory play, early social connection + parent guidance. Locations: Bundoora + regional VIC/NSW outreach clinics and telehealth.
