Cerbras began in the ceramic coatings market in the 1990s, under the leadership of members of the Mota family, who were great pioneers in the segment in the state of Ceará. Throughout its history, the brand has undergone some adaptations. In 1999, it was renamed Porto Velho, a name used for over 10 years. The brand underwent an update and adopted CERBRAS as its new name and a new design, as a way of adapting to the demands and needs of the ceramics market. The intention of the update was also to strengthen its positioning and socio-environmental responsibility practices. The CERBRAS factory is located in Maracanaú - CE. Throughout the company's development, its production capacity has evolved exponentially. The Industrial Park covers 86,137.67m² of built area and operates with an installed capacity of 40,158,519m²/year of ceramic coatings. CERBRAS markets its products through its sales force throughout the North and Northeast of Brazil, and abroad in 33 countries, employing over 1,300 collaborators. CERBRAS persistently seeks maximum quality. To this end, it uses technology and works with seriousness, credibility, loyalty, and the essential human participation in all these processes.
