With the great desire to bring quality education to more people, Professor Wilson Picler founded, in 1996, the Instituto Brasileiro de Pós-Graduação e Extensão (IBPEX), which offered in-person specialization courses for basic education teachers in Curitiba. The initiative, besides being an opportunity for knowledge for several teachers, paved the way for the realization of another project by the professor in the educational field: the Faculdade Internacional de Curitiba (Facinter), which was born in 2000 and began to offer several undergraduate courses. Even before the explosion of online courses, in 2003, we began to take the first steps in a completely new and little-explored segment. A golden opportunity arose to truly democratize access to higher education: distance learning. A year later, we also started offering technological courses. The Faculdade de Tecnologia Internacional (Fatec Internacional) was born. In 2012, there was a merger of the institutions Facinter and Fatec, and thus the Centro Universitário Internacional Uninter emerged. But this dream of democratizing higher education only became a reality because, over these years, many collaborators, professors, and partners passed through the institution and left their mark. Our human capital, composed of thousands of people, is extremely competent, committed, and, above all, dedicated to making education an opportunity for transformation. Without this team, none of this would be possible. Today, Uninter has more than 800 in-person support centers, with 12 active centers abroad. In Brazil, we are present in all states of the federation, with approximately 400 undergraduate, postgraduate, master's, doctoral, and extension courses. And we have already graduated approximately 500,000 students. We transform stories.
