About Centre de services scolaire des Sommets

Located in the Estrie region, the Centre de services scolaire des Sommets serves a school population of approximately 7,800 elementary and secondary students and 1,200 students in vocational training and adult education. Its territory covers 36 municipalities spread across three RCMs (Des Sources, Memphrémagog, and Val-Saint-François). The services of the school service center are provided by nearly 1,250 employees. To achieve its mission focused on student success, the school service center employs teaching professionals in elementary, secondary, adult education, and vocational training. Representatives from all professions also work within our organization: specialized education technicians, childcare workers, administrative professionals, office staff, psychologists, guidance counselors, speech therapists, etc. A mentorship program has been established at the school service center to facilitate the professional integration of early-career teachers. This program aims to pair new teachers with experienced ones. This initiative, which promotes exchange and facilitates the sharing of knowledge and expertise, is highly appreciated by teachers.
