Incorporated in 1949, Central Stone Company traces its roots back as far as 1925 when a single sand and gravel pit was opened under the Missouri Gravel Company in LaGrange, MO. From its humble start with the ‘Pearson Steamer’, transporting wooden barges up and down the Mississippi River, to the company we know today with its highly automated process controls, Central Stone Company has grown to become a leader in construction aggregates in the Midwest. In true Central Stone form, we believe in self-sufficiency from top to bottom. This mindset has created an internal network of experts in a variety of disciplines. From the welders at our fabrication shops and professionally certified engineers and geologists, to highly experienced operations personnel, we look to hire and cultivate the best and brightest for our organization.
