The communal social action center (CCAS) of the city of Frontignan offers a range of services to remedy situations of precariousness or great social difficulty. The Frontignan public is advised, guided, or directly supported to benefit from the services. ORGANIZATION AND STATUTES OF THE CCAS A parity structure The CCAS is presided over by the mayor of the municipality. Its board of administration is composed of local elected officials (appointed by the municipal council) and qualified persons in the social action sector, appointed by the mayor. The CCAS is a "public administrative establishment" MISSIONS OF THE CCAS Legal or optional, a mission of solidarity The CCAS coordinates general action for prevention and social development in conjunction with public and private institutions. It is therefore the local social action institution par excellence. As such, it develops various legal or optional activities and missions, directly aimed at the populations concerned. The CCAS is involved in the following main areas: fight against exclusion, home help services, prevention and activities for the elderly, support for housing and accommodation, early childhood, children/youth, support for people with disabilities. ACTIONS TO SUPPORT STAYING AT HOME The City, through the action of the communal social action center, offers a home help and support service (SAAD) which operates within the municipality of Frontignan only for any person experiencing a loss of autonomy. The SAAD relies on professionals whose main missions are: • Material support through help with household tasks • Personal assistance through essential life activities • Help with administrative procedures and travel
