The mission of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Syracuse is Evangelization: To live our faith and freely share our faith with others. To invite all people to hear the message of Jesus Christ as expressed in the Catholic parish. To foster Gospel values in our society so that our nation and the world will be transformed by the saving power of Jesus. The Roman Catholic Diocese of Syracuse includes 237,546 Catholics residing in seven counties of Central and South Central New York State. The seven counties are Broome, Chenango, Cortland, Madison, Oneida, Onondaga and Oswego. The Roman Catholic Diocese of Syracuse is served by Bishop Robert J. Cunningham.
