About Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston

Founded in 1943, Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston’s mission is to help people in southeast Texas by providing caring, compassionate services and advocating for social justice in collaboration with parishes and communities. Catholic Charities is a non-profit, United Way agency that serves more than 85,000 annually throughout the Greater Houston area. We help light the way for better lives by assisting people in need through four main service areas: nurturing and caring for children, strengthening families, supporting refugees and immigrants and promoting independence for seniors and other vulnerable adults.
