About Carrossel Supermercados

Carrossel Supermercados is a family business, opened on November 11, 1972, in São Lourenço. Initially, it included a construction materials store and the representation of Antártica beverages, founded by the partners of Casa Dutra Ltda. In July 1973, this partnership was dissolved. José Ildefonso, in partnership with his brother-in-law Lourenço Sérgio Nogueira, took over the self-service portion, which is now Carrossel Supermercados. In October 1975, Lourenço Sérgio Nogueira left the partnership, and José Ildefonso took over the company with his wife Regina. Over time, their children joined the partnership and currently manage the company: Heli and José Carlos (since 10/01/1972), Dimas (since 12/31/1980), Flávio (since 01/02/1984), Luciano (since 12/16/1990), and Regina Célia (since 11/01/2003). In 1988, José Ildefonso stepped back to manage Sítio Carrossel. The family voted, and the son Heli was chosen to lead the company, continuing the administration alongside his siblings. The company reaches its 50th anniversary with five Carrossel-branded stores in the cities of São Lourenço, Caxambu, Baependi, and Itanhandu, and one Sempre Nosso-branded store in São Lourenço, currently generating over 600 direct jobs. We are already planning to grow in the coming years, creating more jobs and serving our customers with excellence.
