About Brost-Stiftung

The Brost Foundation is a non-profit foundation based in Essen. It supports knowledge-based, conceptually strong, courageous, future-oriented projects that, preferably through cooperation, support togetherness and hands-on self-help in the Ruhr area. The foundation relies on the radiance and pull of the supported ideas, which also attract attention and recognition outside the region due to their innovative strength. This is intended to provide valuable impetus far beyond the Ruhr area. The Brost Foundation was established in 2011 according to the will of the founder Anneliese Brost. With a focus on the Ruhr area, the home of Anneliese and Erich Brost, projects in the fields of art and culture, youth and elderly care, general and vocational education, as well as charitable measures are supported. Since 2011, the foundation has supported over 100 projects. As an initiative foundation, the foundation also develops its own projects.
