Palmer Clarkson founded the company with partner Carl Owens in 1983 when it was known as Hydraulic Engineering. In 1992, it was renamed Masthead Industries and shifted its focus from manufacturing to service. It became Bridgestone HosePower when Bridgestone Corp. purchased it from Clarkson in 2014. Today, the company is involved with original equipment manufacturer (OEM) sales, Service and Re-Distribution of bulk product. It is the main distributor for Flextral hydraulic and industrial hose products and has 48 Branches across the U.S. that offer any size hydraulic hose up to 6,000 psi and mobile service trucks.
