About Biotope

Founded in 1993 by committed nature enthusiasts, Biotope has established itself over the years as a global pioneer and leader in environmental engineering and biodiversity preservation. With over 400 employees and 30 specialized fields, the company supports public and private stakeholders in the environmental approach to their development projects. It offers a complete range of complementary activities including, in particular, consulting, regulatory studies, communication, and training. It also relies on the specialties of 5 thematic subsidiaries (Aquascop, Archipel, Nat’H, Soltis, Biotope Communication et Editions) and forms an alliance for nature with HiDef and BioConsult. The company invests 7% of its turnover in Research & Development, and its dedicated innovation department designs and develops original solutions to understand and ultimately better protect nature in very diverse fields (acoustics, electronics, biostatistics, genetics, ecology). Biotope constantly strengthens its presence across all territories to be as close as possible to stakeholders. Today, 21 agencies in mainland France, 4 in overseas territories (La Réunion, Guyana, Martinique, and Guadeloupe), and 8 international subsidiaries (China, Colombia, Guinea, Central Africa, Madagascar, Morocco, Belgium, and Luxembourg) represent it. Biotope created the Biotope Foundation for Biodiversity and the Biotope Endowment Fund for Nature. Two organizations that perpetuate its commitments and make it possible to produce and share scientific knowledge with the greatest number. They express Biotope's deep conviction and love for the knowledge and protection of biodiversity.
