Billund Kommune

About Billund Kommune

Billund Municipality is a strategically good place to settle if you are focused on job and career opportunities and at the same time wish to live in a municipality that has a sharp focus on co-creation with citizens and is an active member of the Triangle Region Denmark. Billund Municipality is home to the Capital of Children and is investing heavily in the development for children and young people in these years. All with a focus on play, learning, and creativity. At the same time, we are one of Denmark's best business municipalities with a strong, growing business sector where there is a constant shortage of skilled employees. We have approximately 27,100 inhabitants and encompass seven strong urban communities, with Grindsted being the largest town. UNICEF has certified Billund as Denmark's first child-friendly city and municipality. We house Northern Europe's most fun playground with LEGOLAND, Lalandia, LEGO House, and WOW Park. At the same time, Billund is an international city that is growing, just as we have active urban communities with fantastic leisure facilities and good childcare and school options.
