Big Country Equipment was established in 2017, when our owner and founder, Spencer Harrison, fulfilled his dream of owning a service truck and offering his expertise to customers in the resources industry. Since then, we’ve experienced rapid growth, evolving from a one-truck operation to a team of over 200 employees and a fleet of 45+ fully equipped service trucks, dedicated to serving customers across Canada 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. We’re proud of our employees, and they are our competitive advantage. They understand the business and are highly skilled at what they do. When we hire, we look for a positive attitude, a commitment to safety and aptitude for our industry. We pride ourselves on having employees that understand the business, are able to work safely, and have a high skill level and aptitude for this work. With expertise and a focus on excellence, our team is consistently effective at meeting and exceeding customer expectations. Regardless of the challenge, we don’t take no for an answer. If you need it, we’ll make it happen! As a company, safety is a core value for us. We want to be sure our employees can arrive safely to perform work and return home safely to those who are most important in their lives. We also know that a comprehensive safety program helps to minimize downtime and serve our customers more effectively. To keep our employees safe, we provide all required safety training, along with required personal protective equipment (PPE). Our teams perform daily job hazard analyses (JHAs) and field-level hazard assessments (FLHAs) to help us maintain established safety routines and draw attention to additional safety risks that might occur as work conditions change. Also, we require daily truck inspections, and we hold daily and monthly safety meetings to review safety hazards and evaluate safety compliance. Plus, we support our safety processes by maintaining detailed compliance records. We are very proud to represent well-known brands such as Phillips 66, Ground Force Worldwide, SafeGauge, and National Plastics & Rubber to enhance our offerings to our valued customers.
