Our history We also started small: Our company, which now employs around 650 people, was founded in 1972 by Gisela and Helmut Ehrl under the name "Veranstaltungs- und Kontrolldienst Ehrl" and is managed by Marco Ehrl in the second generation. The first orders involved security activities at events, but the first object protection order was soon added. In the following years, the number of employees steadily increased, and the administrative headquarters on Bad-Schachener-Straße quickly became too small. The company, now named "Bewachungsdienst Dipl-Kfm. Helmut Ehrl GmbH", remained in the east of Munich and moved into new premises on Kreillerstraße. In 1995, a newly built company building on Ringbergstraße was finally inaugurated, just a few meters from the old company headquarters. This is also where our powerful emergency and service control center is located, with an integrated alarm receiving center (AES) according to DIN EN 50518, as well as VDS 3138. Today, Bewachungsdienst Dipl.-Kfm. Helmut Ehrl GmbH is one of the last long-established Bavarian security companies in family ownership, which is also managed by the owner himself. And: At its core, we have remained a true Munich company, even though we have now also founded a branch in Nuremberg due to the expansion of our business areas.
