About Berufsbildungswerk Südhessen gGmbH

Opening new perspectives for young people with special needs, accompanying them on their journey from school to work, fostering their personal development in a highly individualized way, and strengthening their employability – this is the goal and task of bbw Südhessen (bbw) based in Karben near Frankfurt am Main. Under the umbrella of bbw Südhessen are the "berufsbildungswerk" with training and vocational preparation offers, the youth welfare area "welträume", and the "neue akademie" with services for companies in the field of inclusion. The "welträume" children and youth welfare area offers young people a temporary home in semi- and fully residential groups, sometimes with a pedagogical concept. The "berufsbildungswerk" offers vocational preparation and training in more than 30 professions for young people with learning disabilities, mental illnesses, from the autism spectrum, and with social disadvantages. The range includes gastronomy and geriatric care, classic crafts such as wood, metal, and paint, as well as green professions, office, trade, and IT. Individual (rehabilitation) support by teams of pedagogical, psychological, and medical specialists, as well as recreational education and supported living, form the holistic support concept. The bbw also successfully supports its trained professionals in their transition to the job market. With its expertise in vocational training, bbw Südhessen also supports companies in personnel search and, with the "neue akademie", offers needs-based solutions for all aspects of company training as well as tailored further education. The bbw Südhessen is a non-profit GmbH and sees itself as a future-oriented service company. We tailor our offers precisely to young people with special needs, as well as labor market actors, clients (rehabilitation providers / youth welfare offices), and companies.
