About Bergkvara

A genuine interest in motors and technology was the foundation for three young men in Bergkvara to start a company in 1975. From the start, the business had two taxis and two buses. A couple of years later, Bergkvarabuss AB was formed, and since then, the company has undergone fantastic development and expanded continuously. Göran Mellström, who was one of the founders, worked as an entrepreneur and CEO until 2019 and is still on the board today. At the start, there was only one gas station in Bergkvara. Since then, the geographical spread has increased significantly. Bergkvarabuss is now present in many locations around the country, as well as in Denmark and Norway. The two taxis and two buses have now grown to over 1200 buses, and the number continues to increase steadily. The genuine interest lives on in the driven and dedicated employees, who now number over 2000. Bergkvarabuss currently has three main business areas: Contracted route traffic, school transport, and chartered/on-demand traffic.
