About Belov

Belov Engenharia was founded in 1981 in Salvador/BA, by engineer Aleixo Belov, who at the time had 15 years of experience in conducting the largest maritime works built in Bahia: the first Pier of the Liquid Bulk Terminal - TGL of the Port of Aratu (from 1972 to 1975) and the construction of three prestressed concrete platforms, and installations on the coast of Rio Grande do Norte (1976 to 1980). Expansion and product diversification were not long in coming: in 1994 the Mapele Maritime Yard was created, in Baía de Aratu (Simões Filho/BA), with over 110,000 m² of area where the Belov Shipyard is located; in 2002, Belov Obras Portuárias was born; in 2007, the Macaé/RJ branch was created; in 2011, Belov Offshore Industrial was born; and in 2013 the Guapimirim/RJ operational unit was inaugurated, a base with 180,000 m² of area. Inspired by growth, Grupo Belov transforms and maintains a constant pace of production, overcoming difficult economic moments with the creativity and dedication of its teams and thanks to attention to its strategic concepts. We work throughout Brazil, from the conception to the construction of ports for large ships, structural repair works (including submerged), underwater inspection activities, diving services, underwater welding, complex underwater constructions, engineering and various offshore services, ROV (remotely operated underwater vehicle) services, hydrography and seismic services, chartering, adaptation, decommissioning, and construction of vessels. In our shipbuilding portfolio, we are winners of international awards and recognized for innovation. And in Rio de Janeiro, we dedicate our structure to the demanding oil and gas industry market, operating in offshore oil fields with a focus on engineering, inspection, and maintenance services.
