Welcome to Belgoprocess Radioactivity plays an important role in healthcare and in industrial and scientific applications. Moreover, today more than half of Belgian electricity production comes from nuclear energy. All these activities result in a residual amount of radioactive waste that requires special care. In Belgium, where a centralized processing of this radioactive waste was chosen, this task was entrusted to Belgoprocess. Belgoprocess possesses extensive knowledge, experience, and versatile infrastructure for the safe and socially responsible processing, conditioning, and storage of radioactive waste and dismantling of nuclear installations. Belgoprocess always strives to optimize existing technologies and develop new ones. Recently, Belgoprocess has also increasingly focused on valorizing this know-how abroad.
