Founded on August 8, 2005, Beijing Benz Automotive Co., Ltd. (BBAC) is a Sino-German joint venture corporation co-invested by BAIC Motor Co., Ltd., Daimler AG and Daimler Greater China Ltd. Its business scope ranges from R&D, engine & completed vehicle manufacturing, sales to after-sales service. Currently, following Daimler’s unified global manufacturing and quality standards, BBAC has established a complete luxury car manufacturing system and become the only joint venture boasting front-drive platform, rear-drive platform and powertrain platform in the world. Its car models in production include long wheelbase C-Class, long wheelbase E-Class, GLK-Class luxury mid-sized SUV as well as GLA-Class premium compact SUV.
