About Bay Alarm

Join the Bay Alarm Family For over 75 years, Bay Alarm has been the nation's largest independently owned alarm company, protecting over 150,000 homes and businesses across California, Arizona, and Washington. Founded in 1946 by Marj and Everett Westphal in Oakland, California, our company has grown into a third-generation family-owned business, now led by their grandson, Tim Westphal. Our success is built on "The Bay Way"—a commitment to integrity, respect, and exceptional service. We invest in our people through Bay University, our in-house training center, where employees receive over 2,000 hours of hands-on instruction in security systems, customer care, and operational excellence. This dedication ensures that our team members stay with us for an average of a decade, reflecting the loyalty and trust we've cultivated . At Bay Alarm, every role is vital to our mission: to be the best at every opportunity. We combine cutting-edge technology, personalized service, and unmatched expertise to protect what matters most—our customers and their peace of mind.
