About BAUHAUS - Nederland

BAUHAUS made history in 1960 with the opening of the first self-service DIY center in Europe, for both private individuals and professional builders. For the first time, customers could find everything for their project under one roof. It was the beginning of the unprecedented success story of the Swiss company. There are now 275 locations in 19 countries. BAUHAUS offers fifteen specialized departments in the areas of (re)building, decorating, and gardening under one roof. In the large DIY centers, averaging 20,000 m2, customers will find an extensive assortment. But BAUHAUS is more than a DIY store: it is possible to rent machines, trailers, and transport vans, there is a drive-in and an assembly service, in collaboration with local tradespeople. In the Netherlands, BAUHAUS opened branches in Groningen, Twente, Venlo, and Den Hoorn. BAUHAUS Netherlands aims for national coverage, with around fifteen branches. This offers employment opportunities for skilled workers and support staff. BAUHAUS collaborates with local reintegration partners to give job seekers a new opportunity.
