Banco Industrial do Brasil S.A. focuses on Middle Market operations, a segment the Bank believes is one of the most attractive in the Brazilian credit market. With operations focused on granting credit for working capital to small and medium-sized enterprises, discounting receivables, and financing with BNDES funds, the Bank was considered by Riskbank as "Best Middle Market Bank in Brazil in 2006 and 2007". After these awards, Riskbank no longer conducted evaluations for this prize; the banking risk assessment criterion was based on the average of the last 5 years for each indicator. Banco Industrial also has a payroll loan portfolio for INSS retirees and pensioners, public servants, and private sector employees. Since the Bank's founding, its credit operations have shown consistent growth.
