We are Banco BHD. We were born on July 24, 1972, as Banco Hipotecario Dominicano. Throughout our more than four decades of history, we have been pioneers in the local financial sector: from becoming the first multiple bank in the Dominican Republic to pioneering the implementation of a corporate governance model. Our avant-garde vision has led us to be the national financial entity with the greatest international backing, given the shareholding structure of the BHD León Financial Center, made up of: Grupo BHD, Banco Popular of Puerto Rico, and the International Finance Corporation (IFC).
