Banca de Investiții și Dezvoltare (BID) Newly created, the only development bank of the Romanian state, with an ambitious mission, an integrated vision, and clear strategic objectives. Banca de Investiții și Dezvoltare, or BID for short, was established to support Romania's sustainable economic development and to increase its competitiveness and innovation by facilitating access to finance. We choose sustainable development We accelerate the absorption of European funds We attract investments We grant technical assistance We will contribute to realizing Romania's growth potential and transformation into a sustainable economy. By mobilizing public finances, European funds, and other forms of concessional financing, BID will mitigate market dysfunctions where commercial financing is insufficient. We have three directions of action, for now. We are new, so "Sky is the limit". We start with these three: • Improving access to finance for micro-enterprises and small and medium-sized enterprises, for newly established enterprises, innovative enterprises, agricultural enterprises, and farmers. • Promoting better access to finance for economically viable infrastructure projects, local and regional development projects. • Supporting a climate-neutral and energy-neutral economy and promoting sustainable development.
