Attero. Energiek met Milieu Attero is an innovative force in the production of recovered raw materials and sustainable energy. Our roots lie in the large-scale processing of household, organic, and mineral waste. Based on our social responsibility, we pay full attention to opportunities for reuse, for the generation of sustainable energy from waste streams, and for environmentally conscious landfill management. Based on this vision, we have grown into one of the largest players in the Dutch waste market, and we continue to develop as an environmental service provider. Our company employs around 650 motivated employees, who process nearly 3 million tons of waste annually at about fifteen locations. This amounts to a turnover of over 350 million euros. Attero generates sustainable electricity itself every year for approximately 350,000 households and also supplies biofuels for power plants. We also produce green gas, which goes to users via the gas network. Our compost from vegetable, fruit, and garden waste is an excellent soil improver. A quality product that also contributes to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions. All sorts of materials that we separate from waste find their way to industry for reuse. And the ashes from our waste-to-energy plants literally form a good basis for road construction. This is how Attero is energetic with the environment. We put all our energy into reuse and environmentally conscious processing of residual materials. We extract raw materials and energy from it in all sorts of ways using modern techniques. And that, in turn, energizes us.
